Speaker: Jen Schwartz, Acting ACL of Guidance, NTCI

 

Topic: Post-Secondary Pathways and Career Planning After High School

 

Ms. Schwartz will share important information that will help us understand how our children can build a pathway through high school to maximize opportunities for post-secondary success.

 

The school council speaker series is a great opportunity for parents and guardians to engage in discussions and learn how we can support our children in school and at home.

Thank you to all the community members who attended the School Council meeting on September 30. The School Council will meet again at NTCI on Monday, October 28 at 7pm in Room 215.

Donations to NTCI School Council

The NTCI School Council is committed to supporting the mission of our school by collaborating with students, staff, families. One of the ways we do that is by raising funds to support school initiatives that enhance student learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom (and that are not supported by student fees). Each year, through the generous contributions of our community, the School Council provides vital funding for programs and initiatives that enrich student experiences, including:

  • Field trips and competitions (e.g., Music Nationals and sports tournaments)
  • Committees and clubs (e.g., Prom Committee)
  • Student publications (e.g., Graffiti)
  • Graduation ceremony
  • Speakers and events to support students and parents

Your donations enable us to continue supporting these valuable opportunities, helping to foster a vibrant and inclusive school environment. Every contribution, no matter the size, has a direct impact on the student experience. Additionally, all donations are eligible for a tax receipt.

Welcome to the 2024-25 School Year! First Meeting Sept. 30th @ 7:30pm

 

Please join us and represent the NTCI Parent/Guardian community at various school events, such as School graduations, grade 8 nights, etc.

With a few current members graduating this year and some next year, please consider joining the School Council executive to continue the work done.

April School Council Meeting

 

We are excited to be meeting in person at the next School Council meeting. Please save the date for the upcoming School Council Meeting.

The School Council is pleased to also have an informative event presented by Bruce Hunt.

 

Date: April 24, Monday at 7:00 pm

Topic: Public Speaking Breakthrough Presentation

Speaker: Bruce Hunt (Founder, Toronto Speakers Academy)

Venue: Room 215

 

Bruce Hunt is the founder of Toronto Speakers Academy, host of the popular online Breakthrough Class, and a 22-year veteran of Toastmasters International.

 

Bruce’s journey began when he decided to conquer his fear of public speaking. This has led him to a career helping others conquer their own similar fears. Bruce teaches timeless communication techniques and hosts public speaking workshops / coaching sessions that will transforms his audience into impactful and fearless communicators.

 

Bruce lives in downtown Toronto with his wife and their rescued cats. He is an avid scuba diver who loves to share his shark diving experiences with audiences. He’s also a youtube yogi thanks to the daily yoga class. Bruce believes that the key to a great life is finding things you enjoy doing and giving them everything you’ve got.
