We hope everyone enjoyed our Earth Day assembly today! Here is some important information for those who missed it:
- Look out for a vegan bake sale on the first floor. By the way, did you know that livestock production is one of the biggest contributors to climate change?
- Join NEAT for the last Walk and Roll of the year on Thursday. Email allison.shi@student.tdsb.on.ca for any questions!
- Sign up for the Cherry Blossom Walk at High Park which will be happening on May 2. For more information visit @ntci.neat on Instagram!
Some tips for this week:
- Use electricity mindfully. Do you really need to turn all your lights on in the morning? Enjoy natural sunlight!
- Choose eco-friendly ways of transportation. Wake up 10 minutes earlier and walk or bike to school.
- Avoid food waste. If you cannot finish your lunch, bring it home and finish later. It will save you money, and it will save the Earth some greenhouse gas emissions.
- Donate some of your old clothes. Summer is not so far away, so many of you have definitely thought of getting new clothes. Instead of disposing your old ones, you should donate them! Who knows, maybe you will make someone’s day.
- Save water. You really do not need to keep the faucet on while you are brushing your teeth.
