The NT Varsity Norsemen were knocked out of the playoffs by rival Forest Hill in a thrilling double overtime contest at NT Arena on Feb. 22, 2024.
After falling behind 2-0 in the second period, Tyler Cobbold responded with two goals to even the match for NTCI.
But Forest Hill jumped back out in front in the mid third with a shot from the high slot.
But the Norsemen would not give up. Martin Clarke snapped a high rebound into the net from the left side to tie the game and send it to OT.
Nothing was settled in the first frame of OT, and, with a Norsemen penalty expiring and about to go the man advantage, Forest Hill ended the game, and NT’s season, with a shot from the low slot.
Ryan Black’s strong work backstopped the Norsemen in the loss.
