Please note the following options for students that were unsuccessful in a course in Sem. 1:

Option 1 – Retake the Full Credit Course – Compulsories (with less than 30% or so)

When a student has failed a grade 9 /10/11 compulsory with less than about a 30%, we typically encourage a re-take of the course again – either in Sem. 2 (space permitting) or summer, or next school year.

Where and when can they a student re-take the full course?

1. NTCI Semester 2 – space permitting (Grade 10 courses are very limited)

2. TDSB Summer School

1. For Grade 11 & 12 Full Credits (will only be offered asynchronously) – Registration starts on April 21st @ 10am –https://schoolweb.tdsb.on.ca/elearning/e-Summer-Program
2. Grade 9/10 full credit courses (will be offered online synchronous) – Registration starts on April 28th @ 10am – https://schoolweb.tdsb.on.ca/conedsecondarycreditprogram/Summer-School

3. TDSB Sem 2 Night School-*Limited Spots* – Reg open until January 30 at 10 am – mostly for 11s & 12s – most full credit courses are full (however currently available: CHC2D, CHV2O, GLC20, MEL3E, FSF 3U) 

4. Last Resort Possibility – Retake the full course in the 2026-27 school year – make sure to put this credit on your 2026-27 course selections for Feb 23rd deadline.

Option 2 – Take the Course via Credit Recovery – Compulsories & Electives (with final of over 30% or approx.)

When a student has failed a 9/10/11 compulsory with more than a 30%,  credit recovery is a potential option with parental permission.
