Recommendations:

  1. A 70% or higher in the chemistry portion of Grade 10 is recommended to take Grade 11 Chemistry
  2. A very strong mathematics (at least 70% in Grade 10 math) background is recommended for Grade 11 Physics
  3. Taking Grade 11 Chemistry before Grade 12 Biology is strongly recommended
  4. Grade 12 Calculus and Vectors is strongly recommended as a co-requisite for Grade 12 Physics

What You Need For Science Courses at NT

  1. A Sharp EL-510 Calculator is recommended for all science courses
  2. In addition to standard pencils, erasers, pens: 
    • – Ruler (30 cm)
    • – Protractor (Grade 10 Science, Grade 11 Physics)
    • – Binder and Paper
    • – Graph Paper will usually be provided, but can be useful
  3. Google Suite 
    • – Be sure to download all the files in your Google Drive at the end of Grade 12 or you will lose them

Recommended:

  1. Computer (laptop, desktop, chromebook)
  2. A Printer (please keep extra paper and cartridges)
  3. Internet Access
  4. Brightspace Access
  5. Smartphone for access to the Brightspace Pulse App
