Department Course Offerings

Business Studies, Grades 9 and 10

As announced in March 2019, the ministry is revising the secondary Business Studies curriculum as part of its commitments to modernizing learning. This will begin with revised Grades 9 and 10 courses to be implemented in Fall 2024. Students pursuing the Grade 10 course will not need a prerequisite.

The new Grade 9 course, Building the Entrepreneurial Mindset, (BEM1O) replaces the course Information and Communication Technology in Business, Grade 9 or 10 course (BTT1O/BTT2O). As of September 2024, Information and Communication Technology in Business, Grade 9 or 10 should not be offered, and the associated course codes will expire at the end of the 2023-24 school year.

The new course, Launching and Leading a Business, Grade 10 (BEP2O) replaces the Introduction to Business, Grade 9 or 10 course (BBI1O/BBI2O). As of September 2024, Introduction to Business, Grade 9 or 10 (BTT1O/BTT2O) should not be offered, and the associated course codes will expire at the end of the 2023-24 school year.
