GREECE TRIP 2024-2025
Posted on June 4, 2024
The Arts Department has partnered with local tour company Georgia Hardy to sponsor a trip to mainland Greece. The trip will offer you or your student a once-in-a-lifetime a chance to visit a variety of sites of cultural and historical significance including:
- The city of Athens including the Acropolis and the Parthenon
- The ancient archaeological site of Delphi on Mount Parnassos – the first of 4 Unesco World Heritage sites we will visit on this tour
- Visits to multiple villages including Delphi, Galaxidi, Kalabaka
- The Unesco World Heritage site of “the Floating Monasteries” from the 14-16th centuries
- Thessaloniki – site of two Unesco World Heritage sites as well as a delightful village
This trip will be supervised by North Toronto teachers accompanied by a local Greek guide. Students in the past have described our trips (to London and Italy) as life-changing, impacting their social life, their confidence, and their future goals and plans.
Take a look at this link to see a brief day to day itinerary including all stops and hotels. The tour cost includes all fees aside from lunch and souvenirs. Your trip can be reserved with a $500 down payment which is due by June 15. All money will be returned by the end of June if the trip does not run. Please feel free to reach out to our lead teacher, Trish Boon (trish.boon@tdsb.on.ca) or directly to Georgia Hardy tours at stephanie@ghardytours.com.
